So I released my first game on Newgrounds and a day later I'm still exhausted, getting it to work in time for pixel day was a nightmare. I spent a lot of time learning game development and pixel art in place of working on my normal art and honestly, I think the game might be too hard for most people? But I feel really fulfilled, even with this demo build.
While I still want to properly finish this game, its been too long since I've made any art that isn't a game asset and I desperately want to make other shit.
The burden is lifted... for now...

You did a great job, it's a really solid game and will definitely be getting featured on the front page!
As far as difficulty, the first boss fight has been really hard with the one death kills but it's quick to restart so people can keep trying without much fuss.
One thing I'm wondering is if using the mouse to shoot ever makes use of the mouse for aiming or if it's always one direction? If it's always one direction, I'd love an option to use the Z key to shoot and X to jump, maybe C to run faster as well. You could add those in without changing the current controls and then anyone who wants to play that way could do that. It's possible the range of the mouse becomes more necessary later, though.

THANKS FOR TAKING A LOOK TOM!!!
One thing we were a bit worried about was definitely the difficulty, we'd been playing the game for so long it was getting really hard to gauge how difficult it actually was. Some people will definitely like it, but I think the whole game is gonna need another pass when we have more time.
When it comes to controls, being able to use the mouse to shoot just felt like something you should be able to do, even though you can only shoot left and right. I'll see if I can get my friend to add some more control options, I'm hoping we can add custom keybinds in the future.
It's also possible that we'll change up the actual player abilities later, adding aiming changing run speed etc. but we really wanted to get this out for pixel day.
Thanks again for dropping your thoughts, I really appreciate it since we weren't really get much in the way of actual feedback.
